Cinnamon/Raisin Ezekiel Bread & Apple Strata

Eating Healthy does not mean eating cardboard… and eating healthy does not equal diet. The same way when someone says, “I’m going to work out” doesn’t necessarily mean… I want to loose weight. Healthy eating and Moving your body are all a part of feeling AMAZING! what size you are after… is how God made you. I won’t ever have a long lean dancers body… I was made short… and though small, thick. It’s me. Eating healthy has to be a lifestyle change not a “diet”… to me “diet” is a nasty four letter word!

I have had the idea for this recipe for some time now and while working out my trainer, who suggested Cinnamon Raisin Ezekiel bread french toast. HEY… that reminded me of that idea I had and never quite got around to it. So here it is, my “Cinnamon, Raisin Ezrkiel Bread & Apple Strata”.  *BTW his french taost with egg white recipe idea rocked as well, though I do 1 whole egg to 1 egg white. He also has a cookbook for those who are looking to shed some weight… good recipes to keep in your arsenal, not just “diet” with.  www.K180fittness.com .

I am blessed to have apple trees in my yard and I encourage you to plant as much food in your own space as you can fit. True the squirrels eat well at the Kelly’s but we get some as well.

I googled, “Cinnamon Apple Stratta” and came up with this recipe-http://allrecipes.com/recipe/apple-raisin-french-toast-strata/  -which I LOOSELY followed. Recipes are great inspiration, but they should be tailored to your own taste. You wouldn’t buy a dress or pair of paints in just any size just because you like the material… you need the ones that FIT YOU. I never am upset by people altering my recipes, that’s how it works. Then occasionally, you pick up one that fits perfectly and you don;t have to change a thing!

This looks really good! I’ve never tried Ezekiel bread but I intend to purchase it and try this recipe. I miss that my family no longer has our own egg, milk and butter supply since my grandparents passed away. Thanks, Kimberly, for making these videos!

Thank you… it’s made with spouted grains not dead wheat- so it will be different, but you feel so much better then regular breads… which just sit in your stomach. THANKS for the kind words :)
