There is something about heading out on the water with no motor. It’s quiet… not as quiet as the time i went in a hot air balloon, but definitely quiet. A good time to talk to your maker. No one in a pew next to you peeking… no one asking what you need or making judgments… just one on one. It’s also very relaxing. When you are out there in the middle of the water alone… no one can follow. Work, life, schedules… all sit at the shore as you paddle away. Standing on that board you have a deep look into the clear waters- It’s a whole other world- Sometimes it’s like peeking into space.
It’s also a lot of great exercise, though I never feel like it. I’m working core with balance, legs and definitely arms. That work out makes you hungry, but why spoil that great feeling with heavy food. I have a mother in law with more spinach growing than she can use and …it’s strawberry season.

Listen this is nothing hard… it’s a salad… a dressing and I even threw in a drink recipe. Then agian, good doesn’t always have to be hard.

REAL BACON BITS
2 TBL SP STRAWBERRY ALL FRUIT JAM
1 TBL SP BALSAMIC VINEGAR
2 TBL SP JUICE (GRAPEFRUIT/ORANGE/APPLE/ETC…)
PINCH OF SALT
OLIVE OIL WHISKED IN TILL THICKENED A BIT
*remember ratio of oil to vinegar is usually 3 to 1
GRAPEFRUIT VODKA MO’
1 TSP SUGAR
*3/4 juice … 1/4 vodka
